This is one of our recommended tours, in only six days you will have the opportunity to discover The Best of Chiapas; natural wonders, archaelogical sites, beautiful cities and culture, but most importantly, its people.
We will visit the archaeological site of Bonampak, in the middle of the Lacandona Jungle, where you can still observe original Maya paintings. Later, we will take a boat along the Usumacinta River and while we observe nature, the lost city of Yaxchilan, one of the most outstanding archaeological sites in Chiapas, will appear mysteriously from the jungle.

ITINERARY
DAY 1: SUMIDERO CANYON– CHIAPA DE CORZO – SAN CRISTOBAL DE LAS CASAS.
Reception in Tuxtla Gutierrez airport. We will start the tour with a two-hour boat trip along the Grijalva River, which runs through the Sumidero Canyon with its impressive ecosystem. (2 hours)
Then we will briefly visit the legendary village Chiapa de Corzo where we will have time to eat. Transfer to San Cristobal de las Casas.

DAY 2: SAN CRISTOBAL – SAN JUAN CHAMULA AND ZINACANTAN.
9:00 am: Breakfast included in the hotel.
10:00 am: City tour of San Cristobal: the Cathedral, the Santo Domingo church and the city center. Leave the hotel for the indigenous communities of Zinacantan and San Juan Chamula, in order to find out about their culture, traditions and way of life.
We will visit the house of an indigenous family and taste their handmade tortillas (corn pancakes). We will visit their churches where we can observe a mystical mix of indigenous with catholic rites. Return to San Cristóbal de Las Casas.

10:00 am: City tour of San Cristobal: the Cathedral, the Santo Domingo church and the city center. Leave the hotel for the indigenous communities of Zinacantan and San Juan Chamula, in order to find out about their culture, traditions and way of life.
We will visit the house of an indigenous family and taste their handmade tortillas (corn pancakes). We will visit their churches where we can observe a mystical mix of indigenous with catholic rites. Return to San Cristóbal de Las Casas.

DAY 3: CHIFLON WATERFALL - MONTEBELLO LAKES – COMITAN.
8:00 am: Breakfast included in the hotel.
9:00 am: Depart from the hotel to visit the Chiflon waterfall with its 70-meter-high majestic waterfall called "The Bride’s Veil”. Transfer to the famous Montebello Lakes where we can observe its incredible colors surrounded by woods. There will be time for lunch.
We will continue to the wonderful city of Comitan de Dominguez, time to visit the surroundings and time to eat.
Return in the afternoon to San Cristobal de las Casas, with a short stop in the Amatenango del Valle village to admire its ceramic works.

9:00 am: Depart from the hotel to visit the Chiflon waterfall with its 70-meter-high majestic waterfall called "The Bride’s Veil”. Transfer to the famous Montebello Lakes where we can observe its incredible colors surrounded by woods. There will be time for lunch.
We will continue to the wonderful city of Comitan de Dominguez, time to visit the surroundings and time to eat.
Return in the afternoon to San Cristobal de las Casas, with a short stop in the Amatenango del Valle village to admire its ceramic works.

DAY 4: TONINA, AGUA AZUL AND MISOL HA WATERFALLS.
7 am: Breakfast in the hotel.
8 am: We leave San Cristóbal to travel to the ancient Mayan city of Tonina, which is tracing new horizons in the knowledge of Mayan culture due to recent discoveries in the site.
Then we will visit the Agua Azul waterfalls. Their turquoise blue water foams white in hundreds of cascades over flat rocks in the middle of the wild green jungle. You can take a refreshing dip in the colorful waters, eat something or just relax before we set out to the Misol Ha waterfall which rushes over a rock edge 35 meters high. The natural pool offers a second opportunity to have a refreshing dip before we end our day in Palenque.

6.00 am: Leave the hotel.

From here we will take the road to the border town of Corozal where we will take a boat along the Usumacinta River. Yaxchilan is one of the most outstanding archaeological sites in Chiapas due to its complexity and its well-preserved sculptures. Return to Palenque

DAY 6: PALENQUE - TRANSFER TO VILLAHERMOSA - END OF SERVICES
8.00 am. Breakfast in the hotel.
9.00 am. Leave for the Palenque archaeological site. 10.30am: We will visit the archaeological ruins of Palenque, one of the most important cities of the Classic Mayan Era, where we will explore the Temple of Skulls, Temple of the Inscriptions, Temple of the Red Queen, the Main Palace, Temple of the Crosses and the museum, as well as other wonders of the Mayan Culture.
In the afternoon we leave for the airport of Villahermosa, Tabasco where you will take your flight back home.
