DAY
1: ZOO - SUMIDERO CANYON – CHIAPA DE CORZO – HOTEL
IN TUXTLA GUTIÉRREZ |
We will pick you up at Tuxtla Gutierrez airport
(we recommend an arrival in the morning). We begin the tour
in the famous ZOO of Tuxtla which is located inside a natural
reserve zone. Species of local fauna are exhibited, preserved,
protected and studied in an environment similar to their natural
habitat. This zoo is considered one of the best in the world
of its kind. Its facilities are within a small jungle, crossed
by small rivers.

After
our tour there (approx. 2 ½ hours) we will continue to
take a two hour boat trip through the SUMIDERO CANYON, which
was formed by a geological fault millions of years ago. Driving
along the GRIJALVA RIVER, which runs through the Sumidero Canyon,
you should expect a spectacular landscape in the midst of a
fascinating rain forest. You will be able to watch some of the
numerous species of animals, like crocodiles or monkeys. Following
this we make a short visit to the historical town of CHIAPA
DE CORZO, with the known colonial fountain and the POCHOTA TREE
in the center of the town. We will have time to have a meal.
In the afternoon we will go to the MARIMBA PLAZA to dance and
enjoy the happy songs played live. We will then return to our
Hotel in Tuxtla Gutiérrez.

If your flight arrives after 10:30 am, we will only
go to the Sumidero Canyon. If you arrive before 10:30 am we
can visit both the zoo and the Sumidero Canyon.

DAY 2: ZINACANTAN – SAN JUAN CHAMULA – CITY
TOUR IN SAN CRISTOBAL |
Have breakfast at Hotel. 09:00 AM Depart from the
Hotel. We drive in direction to the picturesque town of SAN
CRISTÓBAL DE LAS CASAS, city founded in 1528. This morning
we visit the local indigenous communities of ZINACATAN and SAN
JUAN CHAMULA. This tour gives us a chance to experience their
culture, traditions and unique way of living. We will visit
a Zinacantan Indigenous family to learn how they live. We will
visit their churches where they still practice their traditional
rites and rituals. An impressive and unforgettable experience!
We will then return to San Cristóbal de las Casas for
a city tour visiting the market areas, the cathedral, Santo
Domingo Church and Central Plaza finishing at our hotel. Your
afternoon is free to explore further or simply relax. Hotel

DAY
3: AMATENANGO DEL VALLE – MONTEBELLO LAKES – HACIENDA
SANTA MARÍA |
Have breakfast at Hotel. 09:00 AM Depart from the
Hotel. We drive in the direction to COMITÁN DE DOMINGUEZ
and we make a stop in the community of AMATENANGO DEL VALLE,
a village which is famous for its excellent ceramic work. We
continue our day in the NATIONAL PARK OF LAGOS DE MONTEBELLO
where you can observe and enjoy the impressive colors of the
turquoise waters and its surroundings of pines and oaks. On
our return to San Cristóbal de las Casas we stop at HACIENDA
SANTA MARIA, a lovely finca from the 19th century where corn,
cinnamon and coffee were cultivated. Nowadays the traditional
building with its collection of antiques and paintings is used
as museum. You can also find an excellent restaurant here, where
you will have the possibility to eat something before we return

| DAY
4: FREE DAY IN ONE OF MEXICO’S MOST BEAUTIFUL COLONIAL CITIES

Have breakfast at Hotel. Enjoy your time in one
of Mexico’s most beautiful colonial cities. Walk through
its allies and streets paved with cobblestone. Take a cup of
coffee harvested in Chiapas in one of the many cafeterias. Make
some shopping: Here in San Cristóbal you will find craftsmanship
from different regions of the State at good prices. Or if you
wish you can visit other places such as the Maya Medicine Museum,
Amber Museum, Jade Museum, Coffee Museum, Popular Cultures Museum,
etc. Let yourself be captured by the magic of this city full

DAY
5: AGUA AZUL WATERFALLS – MISOL HA WATERFALL – ARRIVAL
TO PALENQUE |
Breakfast at Hotel. 08:30 AM Depart from the Hotel.Today
we leave the city of San Cristóbal journeying to the
outstanding WATERFALLS OF AGUA AZUL. Their turquoise blue water
whitely foams in hundreds of cascades along flat rocks in the
midst of the green wild jungle. You can refresh and swim in
the colorful waters, eat something or just relax before we set
out to THE MISOL-HÁ WATERFALL which rushes via a rock
edge 35 meters at depth. The natural pool offers a second opportunity
to refresh before we end our day in Palenque. Hotel

| DAY
6: LACANDONA JUNGLE – BONAMPAK – USUMACINTA RIVER –
YAXCHILAN |
06:30 AM Depart from Hotel. 07:30 AM Breakfast
in restaurant on the way to Bonampak. We visit the Archaeological
site of BONAMPAK, in the middle of the LACANDONA JUNGLE, where
you can still observe original Maya paintings. These paintings
are one of the most spectacular treasures of antique México
and they tell a story that takes you to the past of this exciting
culture. From here we take the road to the border town of CORAZAL
where we will take a boat along the USAMACINTA RIVER. While
we observe nature, the lost city o YAXCHILAN will appear from
the jungle as enchanted. Yaxchilan is one of the most outstanding
archaeological sites in Chiapas due to its complexity and well
preserved sculptures. In the afternoon we retrace our route
staying overnight in the town of Palenque. Hotel in

| DAY
7: ARCHEOLOGICAL SITE OF PALENQUE – END OF |
Breakfast at Hotel. 08:30 AM Depart from the Hotel.
This morning we visit the archaeological site of PALENQUE, one
of the most important cities of the Classic Era of the Maya,
where you can visit the Temple of Skulls, Temple of the Inscriptions,
Temple of the Red Queen, the Main Palace, Temple of the Crosses
and the museum along with other wonders of the Maya Culture.
In the afternoon we drive to the airport of Villahermosa/Tabasco
where you take your flight back home and our services terminate.
